Family Office Insights Luncheon
Meet Pam Krueger, Founder and CEO of WealthRamp, Inc. and Creator of MoneyTrack on PBS to discuss how her start-up is using technology to help consumers find vetted financial advisors.
Overview
Opportunity to participate in the early stage fundraise of an enterprise SaaS company now in beta, raising up to $2M.
For three seasons on PBS’s MoneyTrack, Pam Krueger’s been educating consumers about financial advisors– the good, the bad and the ugly. Now WealthRamp is using the latest technology to help individual investors solve the problem of how to find a qualified advisor. WealthRamp is an incredibly user-friendly (SaaS) website that matches consumers to the best-fit financial advisor based on their personal preferences (Think eHarmony). Advisors available on WealthRamp’s platform subscribe for $499/mo and must be fee-based and meet WealthRamp’s standards to be invited. WealthRamp is now beta testing in New England and Northern California.
Ms. Krueger has established herself as one of the leading experts on investor education, with an extensive television following of up to 45 million viewers. While her television series routinely identifies the good and bad aspects of working with financial advisors, Ms. Krueger soon learned that audiences wanted help in identifying a trustworthy financial advisor. So in 2014, Ms. Krueger launched WealthRamp, her new venture that provides personal investors with new tools and resources, including the ability to vet and connect with qualified, fee-based investment advisors.
As investors have been severely impacted by the 2008 financial crisis and major mistrust has fallen on the larger Wall Street wirehouses, many investors have increasingly sought to work with independent Registered Investment Advisors (“RIAs”), and WealthRamp is providing them the ability to be matched to an experienced and reputable advisor, providing clients to get better control and understanding of their personal investments. Ironically, through numerous acquisitions and consolidations, the four largest wirehouses control an even larger percentage of assets, today controlling over 51% of the US$15.8 Trillion in total assets. More significantly, investors are not familiar with the leading RIAs in their market. WealthRamp helps investors match with a qualified and fully vetted independent RIA in their specific market.
