Q&A with Ashraf “Riz” Rizvi of Gilded

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Luminary Series:

Gilded is a fintech company with the mission of providing freedom from fiat currency. This mission derives from a simple problem: cash is a devaluing asset, and the alternatives are not much better. Inflation has reached levels we have not seen in 40 years. Bonds and CDs provide low yields. Cryptocurrency is extremely volatile, with uncertainty around future regulation. Alternatively, Gilded offers an innovative solution to make gold digital, mobile, and usable, allowing you to benefit from gold’s store of value, combined with the functionality of cash. How? By harnessing blockchain technology, Gilded allows you to easily buy and sell gold, and simultaneously pledge, collateralize, and earn with your investment.
